  1. If there is more salt in the curries,rasam or sambar then add potato to it. It will absorb salt.
  2. To cut cabbage,put it in the mixie/blender with grater blade and grind.
  3. It the utensil became black then boil some salt water in it and wash.
  4. To make soft pooris add some sugar to the dough.
  5. If dosa is sticking to the pan then add some sooji to the batter or rub the pan with oil before spreading the batter.
  6. While grinding urad dal, keep adding ice water to cool off the mixie/blender.
  7. Add rice flour to sour buttermilk and make dosa.
  8. If your hands are greasy then rub some lemon juice and then wash with warm water.
  9. If your hands are burning because you touched red chilli powder then put some salt in hot water and wash.
  10. Use buttermilk as mouthwash to have relief from mouth ulcers.
  11. To cook dal softly, put some coconut while boiling or add hing and turmeric.
  12. If curry is too spicy then add tomatoes or coconut milk. 
  13. Store green chillies by removing stems. They will stay fresh longer.
  14. Put onions in water for some time before cutting to prevent the burning of eyes.
  15. If curries are too salty then add some milk cream.
  16. If you want onions to be fried soon then add a pinch of sugar.
  17. Punch holes in plastic cover or ziplock and store vegetables in it.They will be fresh.
  18. Store garlic in fridge.
  19. Boil milk till it becomes half and then add a spoon of maida and sugar to it. It will taste like khova.
  20. Mix baking soda with water and use it to clean fridge.
  21. While preparing Okra fry, add a 1-2 tea spoons of Lemon juice to curry which helps in removing the stickiness of the curry.
  22. 1 kg is equal to 5 rice cups (US)
