Eggless Omelette

 


A vegetarian/vegan recipe for breakfast or tea time. This recipe is very easy to make with very few ingredients and doesn't take much time as well. It is very scrumptious and healthy too as it is rich in protein. It might not taste exactly like an egg omelette but has its own unique flavor that will make you crave for more. Now, without further ado, lets get into the details of the recipe: 
Ingredients:  
Besan/Gram flour-2 cups
Grated ginger-1/2 tsp
Onions-1, finely choppedm
Green chillies-3-4
Cilantro-handful, finely chopped
Tomatoes-2, finely chopped
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Salt- as per your taste

Procedure:
  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Take Besan in a bowl and add all the other ingredients to it and mix

  • Add water and mix everything into batter. Make sure there are no lumps. The consistency of the batter should not be too thick or thin.
  • Heat a skillet on medium heat and once the pan is hot, pour a ladleful of batter on the pan and spread the batter a little using the back of the spoon.

  • Drizzle oil on the edges of the omelette. When the edges looks cooked, flip it and cook on the other side. 
  • Cook till both sides look crispy, flipping once in a while.

  • Make more omelettes with the remaining batter. 
  • Serve this omelette with Ketchup or green chutney or keep it between two toasted breads and serve as a sandwich.
