Aloo tikki burger

This recipe gives Indian touch to the regular burger. The soft bun and the crunchy patty tastes so good that you will be craving for more. A perfect tea time accompaniment or you can make it a full meal by serving the burgers with fries and milkshake.

Ingredients:

Hamburger Buns-4

For the tikki:
Boiled Potatoes-2
Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder-1/4 tsp
Chaat masala-1/2 tsp
oil
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Corn flour-2 tbsp
Salt
Milk-1/2 cup
Bread crumbs-1 cup

Procedure:
  1. Peel and mash the potatoes and add all dry powders, corn flour and salt and mix well and make balls and shape the mixture into flat round patties.
  2. I shallow fried them in the pan but you can deep fry too. If you are deep frying then dip the patties in milk and roll them in breadcrumbs and then fry.
  3. Apply butter on the inside of the buns. Place the tikki on the bun and then on top of the patty,  put onion rings, green chillies, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Serve the burger with ketchup.
Note:
  • Wanna make it more desi? Apply mint-coriander chutney on one side of the bun.
  • You can top the tikki with more vegetables like lettuce, cucumber, carrot etc.
  • Buns can be toasted too if you want more crunchy taste.
