Ingredients:
Urad dal-3 cups
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Salt
Green chillies-6
Ginger- a small piece
Onion-1

Procedure:
1.Soak urad dal in water for 3 to 4 hours and grind with very little or no water till it is soft.Add salt,cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger.
2.Take batter in a  bowl and add finely chopped onion and curry leaves and mix well.
3. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
4. Wet your palms and take a little bit of batter and make vada on a greased plastic sheet or your palm and deep fry.
