Ingredients:
Rajma(kidney beans-1 cup
Baking soda-1/4 tsp
Onions-2
Ginger-garlic paste-1/2 tsp
Tomatoes-4
Green chillies-2
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Cumin powder-1 tsp
Salt
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Salt
Oil
1.Soak kidney beans overnight along with baking soda. Drain and cook in pressure cooker with five cups water till three whistles.
2.Grind ginger-garlic and onion into smooth paste. Also puree tomatoes.
3.Heat oil in a pan and add green chillies and onion paste and fry till the paste is browned.
4. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder,cumin powder and fry for 2 minutes.
5. Add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes stirring continously.
6. Add kidney beans,salt and water and cook covered for 10 minutes.
7.Finally add garam masala powder and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves.
