Mirchi ka salan


Ingredients:
Green chillies-10
Oil
Onion-1
Ginger-garlic paste-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-8
Sesame seeds-2 tbsp
Coriander seeds-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Roased peanuts-1/2 cup
Red chillies-2
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Tamarind pulp-2 tbsp
Salt

Procedure:
  1. Slit green chillies lengthwise without removing the stems. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry chillies in oil for a minute and keep aside.
  2. Grate onion.
  3. Dry roast sesame seeds,coriander seeds,cumin seeds and grind them along with peanuts,red chillies and ginger-garlic.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add onion and fry till they turn golden brown.
  5. Add turmeric powder and mix well. Add the masala paste and cook for 5 minutes.Add 1 1/2 cup water and bring it to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add tamaring pulp and fried green chillies,salt and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
