Ingredients:
Green chillies-10
Oil
Onion-1
Ginger-garlic paste-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-8
Sesame seeds-2 tbsp
Coriander seeds-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Roased peanuts-1/2 cup
Red chillies-2
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Tamarind pulp-2 tbsp
Salt
Procedure:
- Slit green chillies lengthwise without removing the stems. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry chillies in oil for a minute and keep aside.
- Grate onion.
- Dry roast sesame seeds,coriander seeds,cumin seeds and grind them along with peanuts,red chillies and ginger-garlic.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add onion and fry till they turn golden brown.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well. Add the masala paste and cook for 5 minutes.Add 1 1/2 cup water and bring it to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add tamaring pulp and fried green chillies,salt and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
