Ingredients:
Cabbage-1
Channa dal-1/4 cup
Ginger-1 inch piece
Curry leaves-6
Oil
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Red chillies-2
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Grated coconut-2 tbsp
Procedure:
- Soak channa dal in water for 30 minutes.Drain and boil channa dal in one cup of water till just done.
- Shred cabbage.Chop ginger finely.
- Heat oil and add mustard seeds,curry leaves,red chillies.Whey they crackle add ginger.Saute for a minute.
- Add cabbage and cook till soft.Add turmeric powder and mix.
- Add boild channa dal and mix well. Let it cook for two minutes.Add garam masala powder and mix.
- Garnish with coconut.
