Cabbage channa dal



Ingredients:
Cabbage-1
Channa dal-1/4 cup
Ginger-1 inch piece
Curry leaves-6
Oil
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Red chillies-2
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Grated coconut-2 tbsp

Procedure:
  1. Soak channa dal in water for 30 minutes.Drain and boil channa dal in one cup of water till just done.
  2. Shred cabbage.Chop ginger finely.
  3. Heat oil and add mustard seeds,curry leaves,red chillies.Whey they crackle add ginger.Saute for a minute.
  4. Add cabbage and cook till soft.Add turmeric powder and mix.
  5. Add boild channa dal and mix well. Let it cook for two minutes.Add garam masala powder and mix.
  6. Garnish with coconut.
