Ponganalu



Left over dosa/idli batter or
Rice-1 cup
Urad dal-1/2 cup

Soak rice and dal for 2-3 hours and grind and then ferment overnight.The consistency of the batter should be like Idli.

To this batter add:
Onion-1 cut into small pieces
Green chillies-4 finely chopped
Corinader leaves
Channa dal-a fistful,soaked for 30 mins
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt

1. Place ponganalu skillet on medium heat. Add few drops of oil. When skillet is hot add batter to each mould.


2.Cook for 5 mins. Gently life ponganalu with ponganalu lifer or with a spoon and cook on the other side. Cook for 5 mins and remove.
