Tapilentu(Rice roti)

My nanamma makes very yummy Tapilentu. This roti is so spicy that you can just eat without any sauce or chutney. But if want something on the side then I would suggest onion chutney. Its a great accompaniment with Tea or Coffee. It doesn't take much time to cook. Ingredients : Rice flour-2 cups Green Chillies-4 or 5 Ginger- a small piece Coriander leaves Onions Jeera Salt Method : 1. Grind green chillies,ginger and coriander leaves into a paste. 2.Mix the above paste and onions with the flour and make it into chapathi like dough(not so hard though) with water. 2. Make balls from the dough and roll them into small chapathis with your fingers on a plastic sheet. 3. Heat tawa and pour little oil on it and cook the chapathi. Apply little ghee after it is fried.

Pulusu atukulu

Pulusu atukulu/Poha Puliyogre is a spicy and tangy dish made by using Poha and pulihora sauce. This is easy to make and can be served as breakfast or as a tea time snack. The tangy flavor from tamarind, spiciness from all the spices and the crunchiness from peanuts makes this dish so yummy to eat. Without further delay let me give you the recipe 😊: Ingredients: Poha/Atukulu- 2 cups Salt For sauce: Tamarind- Big lemon size Red chillies-4 Sesame seeds-3 tsp Coriander seeds-3 tsp Cumin seeds-1 tsp Fenugreek seeds- 1 tsp Jaggery-2 tbsp Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp For seasoning: Mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, curry leaves, peanuts and hing. Procedure: 1. First let us make the sauce: Soak tamarind in 2 cups of hot water for 30 mins. Squeeze the juice and strain it to remove extra pulp and seeds and keep it aside. Dry roast sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies and fenugreek seeds seperately and let them cool. Once cool, grind them into pow

Small onion/chinni ullipaya pulusu

Ingredients: Pearl onions:15 Ginger- garlic paste: 1/2 tsp Coriander powder:2 tsp Red chilli powder:1 tsp Turmeric powder:1/4 tsp Salt Tamarind paste:1 tsp Jaggery: 1 tsp Rice flour:1 tbsp For seasoning: mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, hing and curry leaves Procedure: 1. Peel onions. ( easy way to do this is, soak onions in hot water for 10 mins and then cut the ends the Peel will come off easily.) 2. Heat oil and when it is hot add the seasoning stuff. 3. Then add onions, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste and fry till raw flavor is lost. 4. Then add tamarind juice, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, jaggery and water and bring to boil. 5. Mix rice flour into paste with water and add it to the above and boil for 5 mins and turn off the stove.
